Yesterday I was in Barnes and Noble, looking for a Pop Funko figure of Evie the Librarian from The Mummy movie that I could use as a prop in book photos. Second only to Bunny Watson (Katherine Hepburn’s character in The Desk Set, who, sadly, has no Pop Funko of her own), Evie is my favorite fictional librarian. I figured it was a long shot, since her figure only seems to be on the secondary market at this point but I was hoping for the miraculous appearance of a mysteriously overlooked Evie in the back corner of a shelf. But, nope, so the secondary market it is.
However, I did find this one:

Besides the fact that if I were only allowed three tv series to have with me if I was stranded on a deserted island (DVD players? Electricity? Stop overthinking!) and one would be Frasier, finding Martin and Eddie would have been thrilling for another reason.
I collect Pop Funko’s with gray hair. Martin is my first male. I thought I’d only be collecting females but why be arbitrary? Now I can be open to Einstein or Stan Lee. Or the Hank Pym I just ordered – A Michael Douglas Pop Funko!? Squee!!
Anyway, here are the Gray Haired Beauties I own so far:

Janet Van Dyne, Hank Pym’s wife, played by the wondrous Michelle Pfeiffer. In case I’ve lost you, Hank and Janet are part of the Marvel Universe, in the Ant-Man movies.

Queen Elizabeth II (pets are a plus for me, too)

M from some of the recent Bond movies, played by the luminous Dame Judi Dench

Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, played by the incomparable Meryl Streep.

And last, but not least, the legend herself, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
